When I clicked submit on the onboarding form nothing happened. What should I do?

The onboarding form generates an email that loads in the email client you use on your workstation (e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Apple Mail). It does NOT currently work with web-based email services (e.g., Gmail, Ymail).

It’s possible to set-up web-based email to route through the local email client installed on your workstation. For assistance, please contact Media Landing Help.

Can I enter a distribution list as an operator to access Media Landing?

Media Landing is based around secure and trackable transfer of assets from your company to Sony Pictures. As such, we require individual operator’s First and Last Name along with their email address.

What if my company is a multinational and team members in different offices need access to the same assets?

If team members in different offices need access to the same assets, please include the exact name of both companies in the Company Name field and a member of our support team will reach out to you for more details.

What should I enter as the exact name of my company?

To create your account, we’ll use the name that your facility submitted for billing which allows us to create a unique vendor name. This is important because many of our vendors are multinationals. So, please be as specific as possible.

Who should I enter as the On-Site Account Admin?

The Onsite Account Admin is the person at your facility who is responsible for adding or removing users. An Onsite Account Admin will disable the account of user who no longer work for the facility and add new team members who have recently joined the organization. Adding users is subject to approval by SPE Contact.

Who should I enter as my contact at Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) contact?

The Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) contact is the person who asked you to sign up for access to Media Landing. This might be the person who sends you purchase orders or who you interact with to coordinate making deliveries. Without an SPE contact listed, the process of getting access to Media Landing will be delayed.

Can I share my account with someone else on my team?

An individual’s name and email address are associated with login and each transaction in Media Landing. To that end, only the user whose name and email address are associated with a Media Landing account should use it to transfer file to Sony Pictures.

Is there a limit to the number of users that can access Media Landing?

There is no limit to the number of users a vendor/facility can request to gain access to Media Landing. However, since Media Landing is a secure platform, we ask that you make every effort to limit the number of users who need access to the portal.

Can I download reference or proxy files from Media Landing?

Depending on your access, you may be able to download reference files and other assets from the portal. Please review the video [Downloading Reference & Source Files] for more details.

If you should have access to download reference files or sources, but do not, please contact your SPE contact.

Does my company need an Aspera account to use Media Landing?

No. Aspera On Cloud is part of Media Landing and there is no requirement for a vendors/facility to open an Aspera account.

Please note: It may be necessary to install an Aspera extension in your browser if this is the first time your facility has used Aspera.

What protocol/technology is used to transfer assets?

Media Landing uses Aspera On Cloud to transfer assets from your facility to Sony Pictures’ storage. Aspera on Cloud uses IBM Aspera’s FASP protocol and is capable of moving large assets at maximum speed, reliably and securely – regardless of network conditions, physical distance between sites, file size, type, or number.
